I remember how drawn you were to Pootoogook’s work. He is an artist who brings extraordinary detail and expression to his carvings, making them endlessly captivating.

While walking through the gallery, I came across a Drum Dancer and a Sedna and immediately thought of you. These are subjects he is deeply known and appreciated for, and seeing how he interprets them here is truly remarkable — both powerful and refined.
