Shelly Fletcher is a Canadian Aboriginal stone carver, painter, and visual artist, descendant from the Missanabie Cree First Nation. Her people had long ago settle and lived in a vase expanse between Hudson’s Bay and The Great Lakes.

Born in London Ontario, she studied fine arts at the Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design. Her work is influenced by her Cree Ancestry, the legends and stories of her people, and the life-ways of Aboriginal Peoples across Turque Island. She now lives and works out of her studio in Sault Ste Marie Ontario, having returned to the proximity of her roots and ancestry.
